The beggining of Darya®

A story told through photos, across time.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

The first photoshoot — Studio Slater, around September 2023.

The photos were taken by my boyfriend, who had never done anything like that before. We played with lighting using colored papers over the continuous light.
I still remember how I felt when I saw them for the first time — I loved them. To this day, I think they’re the best ones we’ve ever taken.

In the first photo, Mari Carvajal wearing the first top I ever designed — The Lace Top. In the second photo, I’m wearing the other first piece — The Second Skin Tee.

The first collection consisted of just two garments, each one in different color variations.

 

These last ones are my favorites.

We used the house and even its elevator to shoot. Every time we’ve taken photos, we’ve had so much fun.

The process of Darya®

 

 

Mari Carvajal — my closest friend — resting by the window of a classic café in Recoleta, Buenos Aires.

Film from September 28th, 2024 — expired rolls.

It was the first time we did something big — a full day of conceptual video recordings.
There were six of us working for around 10 hours. The base was my house — known as the studio — and several nearby locations.
It was incredibly fun.

Francisca Corti & Bianca DiGiuseppe — creative direction, lighting, set design, photography, editing, and practically everything.
Ana Clara Lungo — head of marketing — came to assist with ideas for her area and to contribute to the day’s content.
Aldana Lanail — content creator.
Mari Carvajal and Darya Naskidayeva — models/actresses.

 

This one is definitely one of my favorites.
A photographer reached out to me — she turned out to be Russian, just like me.
Not only was she amazing and the photos turned out incredible, but we also talked a lot about our culture, how things are back home, and about our families.
